How to Double Space in Word 2007



While working on Word 2007, users might require increasing the spacing between words. Some of the reasons are as follows:-

• Vision problems – It could due to the fact that the material being written is to be read by people who might have minor visual problems.
• Learning facilitation – There are texts which are deliberately double spaced in order to facilitate an easier reading experience for those practicing how to read or speak and might need to do so in a slower and more deliberate manner.
• There are also instances where material like scripts or drafts of books are required to be proofread for errors and double spacing allows for easier visibility and therefore correction.

There are two ways of how to double space in Word 2007:

Double space the whole document:-
• Go to the Home tab and find the Styles tab within. Hit the Right-click on the mouse and then click on Modify.
• Under the Formatting tab, click on the Double Space option

Double space selected text:-
• Select the text within the document you wish to change.
• Go to the Home tab and find the Paragraph group, click on Line Spacing and then click 2.0
